Integration Overview

How TackQuote connects with DocuSign

Eliminate manual data entry, prevent shipping or pricing errors, and streamline B2B order execution.

TackQuote's DocuSign integration turns an outgoing quote into a signable envelope. TackQuote uploads the generated quote PDF, adds your buyer as an embedded signer with a signature tab, and hands back a signing URL you can put in front of the buyer directly rather than relying only on DocuSign's emailed link. DocuSign Connect then calls back, and TackQuote verifies the HMAC over the raw request body before trusting a single field. A completed envelope advances the quote to approved, writes a quote.signed event, and stores the envelope id, status, and signing timestamp as signature evidence. Declines and voids are handled too, and a quote that has already been resolved is never overwritten.

Data objects synchronized between systems

Here is exactly how data flows between TackQuote and DocuSign to maintain complete system alignment.

Bi-Directional Data Transfer

Automated Event Triggers

Execute sync actions automatically when quotes change state (created, sent, signed, accepted).

Secure Token Authentication

Connect via encrypted OAuth 2.0 or API key credentials with scoped multi-tenant authorization.

Audit Trail Logging

Track all sync operations, payload payloads, and execution timestamps in your TackQuote dashboard.

Capabilities

What's included in the DocuSign connector

Built out-of-the-box for enterprise sales teams, distributors, and manufacturers.

Envelope From Your Quote PDF

TackQuote uploads the generated quote PDF to DocuSign, adds the buyer as a signer with a signature tab, and returns an embedded signing URL.

Signed Means Approved

A completed envelope advances the quote from sent, viewed, or negotiating to approved and records a quote.signed event on the timeline.

HMAC-Verified Callbacks

Every DocuSign Connect delivery is checked against the X-DocuSign-Signature-1 HMAC over the raw body. Missing or mismatched signatures are rejected, never processed anyway.

Signature Evidence On The Quote

Envelope id, DocuSign status, signer, and signed-at timestamp are stored on the quote, so you can show exactly who signed what and when.

Setup Guide

4 steps to connect DocuSign

DocuSign runs as a single platform-level JWT Grant integration, so there is no separate DocuSign app for you to register. You enable it per workspace and pick the demo or production environment.

1

Enable DocuSign for your workspace

In TackQuote Settings → E-Signature → DocuSign, turn the connector on and choose demo or production. TackQuote checks real connectivity before it reports connected.

2

Point DocuSign Connect at TackQuote

Add TackQuote's webhook endpoint as a DocuSign Connect configuration with an HMAC secret, so envelope events can be verified on arrival.

3

Send a quote for signature

From a sent quote, request signature. TackQuote uploads the quote PDF, creates the envelope, and returns the buyer's signing URL.

4

Let the signature close the loop

When the buyer finishes signing, the verified Connect callback moves the quote to approved and stamps the signature evidence onto its timeline.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about DocuSign

Does a signed envelope change the quote status?

Yes. A completed envelope moves the quote from sent, viewed, or negotiating to approved and writes a quote.signed event. A quote already approved, converted, rejected, cancelled, or expired is never overwritten.

Can buyers sign without leaving the flow they are in?

Yes. TackQuote requests an embedded signing URL rather than depending on DocuSign's hosted email link, so signing happens where the buyer already is.

What happens if a DocuSign callback cannot be verified?

It is rejected with a 401. TackQuote requires a Connect HMAC secret and validates the signature over the raw request body — an unverifiable event never touches your quote data.
