TackQuote for Cin7 Core: Connect Your Catalog to Your B2B Quote-to-Order Workflow

For wholesalers and distributors, a quote carries more than a price. It defines the products, quantities, and commercial offer the buyer is being asked to approve. Once that offer is accepted, the order system needs the same information. TackQuote connects B2B quoting with Cin7 Core through product imports and configured sales-order creation. It gives businesses a practical route from their existing catalog to a quote, then from an accepted quote to a draft order in Cin7 Core. The connector supports **Cin7 Core, formerly DEAR Inventory**. Cin7 Omni uses a different API and is not supported by this connection.

Build quotes from imported Cin7 Core products

TackQuote imports product names, SKUs, descriptions, and Price Tier 1 as the catalog price. It also carries product metadata including units, categories, and barcodes.

The imported records provide a starting point for building quotes from the catalog your business already maintains.

Products and prices refresh every two hours, with on-demand refresh available. If a catalog price has recently changed, refreshing and checking the imported value before preparing a new quote helps keep the offer aligned with the source record.

The connector’s current implementation imports Price Tier 1 as the main product price. Businesses should assess their customer-specific pricing needs separately rather than assume that every Cin7 pricing tier is automatically mapped into the quote.

Create draft sales orders from qualifying accepted quotes

An active Order Sync Rule targeting the Cin7 Core connection enables qualifying accepted quotes to create sales orders.

The connector sends the quote’s product SKUs, quantities, and line prices, and creates the order in draft status. It can match an existing Cin7 Core customer using the buyer’s contact email.

This provides a structured handoff for operations to continue processing inside Cin7 Core.

Connecting the account alone does not activate automatic order creation. The order rule is an essential part of setup.

Use the customer defaults maintained in Cin7 Core

The outbound sale uses the customer’s Cin7 Core location and tax rule.

Those settings remain in Cin7 Core. Before testing the quote-to-order workflow, confirm that the intended customer has the necessary defaults and that the buyer email will match the right record.

If required defaults are missing, the connector reports the missing information instead of choosing a warehouse or tax rule on the business’s behalf.

Bring across selected back-office records

The integration extends beyond product imports. Scheduled runs also import suppliers, purchase orders, production orders, chart-of-accounts entries, tax rules, and stock locations into TackQuote.

These records are imported read-only. They should not be interpreted as two-way purchasing, manufacturing, or accounting automation.

Larger collections are processed across successive scheduled runs, allowing the import to continue from its previous position.

What about inventory quantities?

On-hand stock quantities are not synchronized by the current connector.

Product records and stock locations are available within the integration’s scope, but location data does not tell you how much stock is available at that location.

Continue using Cin7 Core to verify stock before promising availability or delivery dates.

How to evaluate the workflow

Start with a Cin7 Core API application and its Account ID and Application Key. Enter those credentials in the TackQuote connection and verify access.

Next, check an imported product against Cin7 Core, including its SKU and price. Confirm the existing customer’s email, location, and tax rule.

Configure the Order Sync Rule, run a representative test quote through acceptance, and inspect the draft sales order created in Cin7 Core.

The integration is especially relevant to teams that already maintain their catalog in Cin7 Core and want a connected B2B quoting workflow with a defined order handoff.
