Overview

HubSpot Email Marketing + TackQuote

This connector is the marketing counterpart to TackQuote's HubSpot CRM integration: where the CRM connector syncs deals and companies, this one puts buyers into HubSpot as contacts your marketing workflows can act on. Contact sync is OFF by default for the same consent reason as every connector in this group. Quote lifecycle events are NOT pushed to HubSpot: custom behavioural events require Marketing Hub Enterprise and an event definition created in HubSpot first, so rather than half-implement that against a tier most sellers do not have, this connector does contact sync only and says so. If you want quote events driving automation today, Klaviyo, Mailchimp and Brevo all support them. And if you already run the HubSpot CRM integration, check whether it covers your needs before enabling sync here — the same buyer arriving twice is rarely useful.

Connect with a HubSpot private app token, then decide explicitly whether buyers should sync as marketing contacts.

Where to connect. Setup happens in the seller portal — most connectors under Integrations, the rest on the Settings page named in the setup steps below.

Before you start

What you'll need

  • HubSpot account with a private app token
  • Contact read and write scopes on that token

Setup

How to connect HubSpot Email Marketing

  1. Connect HubSpot

Add a HubSpot private app token with contact scopes to TackQuote as an email-marketing credential.
  2. Check for overlap

If you already run the HubSpot CRM connector, confirm whether it covers your needs before enabling contact sync here.
  3. Opt in to contact sync

Sync stays off until enabled, because adding buyers to marketing is a consent decision.

Capabilities

What you get

Marketing-Side Contacts

Buyers land as HubSpot contacts that marketing workflows and lists can act on, distinct from the deal and company records the CRM connector maintains.

No Quote Events — Deliberately

HubSpot custom behavioural events need Marketing Hub Enterprise and an event definition created in HubSpot first, so TackQuote does not push quote events here. The settings page shows this greyed out rather than letting you switch on something that would silently do nothing.

Consent-First

Contact sync is off until you turn it on. Being sent a quote is not treated as marketing opt-in.

Coexists With HubSpot CRM

Runs alongside the HubSpot CRM connector without conflict, because the two write different HubSpot objects.

FAQ

HubSpot Email Marketing questions

How is this different from the HubSpot CRM integration?

The CRM connector syncs deals, companies and pipeline. This one puts buyers and quote activity where HubSpot marketing automation can use them. They write different objects and can run together.

Do I need both?

Usually not. If you already sync to HubSpot CRM, check whether that covers your needs before enabling contact sync here — the same buyer arriving twice is rarely useful.

Will buyers be marketed to automatically?

No. Contact sync defaults to off, and enabling it is an explicit decision you make.
