PayPal + TackQuote

TackQuote's PayPal integration allows buyers to pay accepted quotes through PayPal checkout directly from the TackQuote buyer portal. Supports PayPal accounts, pay later options, and debit/credit card payment through PayPal.

TackQuote connects to PayPal using your PayPal Business API credentials. Setup takes under five minutes.

Where to connect. Setup happens in the seller portal — most connectors under Integrations, the rest on the Settings page named in the setup steps below.

How to connect PayPal

Get PayPal API credentials
Log in to developer.paypal.com, create a REST API app, and copy the Client ID and Secret from your sandbox and live environments.
Connect in TackQuote
Enter your PayPal Client ID and Secret in TackQuote Settings → Payments → PayPal. Toggle from sandbox to live when ready.
Enable for quotes
Enable PayPal payment on individual quote templates or globally. Buyers will see the PayPal checkout option when viewing their quote.

PayPal Checkout

Accepted quotes display a PayPal checkout button in the buyer portal. Buyers can pay with their PayPal account or a card through PayPal.

Pay Later Options

PayPal Pay Later and Buy Now Pay Later options are surfaced to eligible buyers at checkout.

Payment Status Sync

PayPal IPN events update TackQuote quote payment status automatically when payments complete or are disputed.

Can I offer both Stripe and PayPal on the same quote?

Yes. TackQuote can display both Stripe and PayPal payment options on the buyer portal simultaneously, letting buyers choose their preferred method.

What do I need to connect PayPal to TackQuote?

A PayPal Business account and REST API credentials (Client ID and Secret) from developer.paypal.com. TackQuote Starter plan or above is required.

Can I test PayPal payments before going live?

Yes. Enter your sandbox Client ID and Secret first, verify the checkout flow, then toggle to live credentials in TackQuote Settings → Payments → PayPal.
