Integration Overview
How TackQuote connects with Brightpearl
Eliminate manual data entry, prevent shipping or pricing errors, and streamline B2B order execution.
TackQuote connects to Brightpearl, the retail operations platform, through its REST API so quotes are built from live products and stock, and accepted quotes are written back as Brightpearl sales orders. Product, price, and inventory data refresh on a two-hour scheduled pull plus an on-demand refresh, and sales orders and contacts are created when an accepted quote matches an active Order Sync Rule.
Bi-Directional Sync
Data objects synchronized between systems
Here is exactly how data flows between TackQuote and Brightpearl to maintain complete system alignment.
Master Price Book Sync
Sync contract pricing matrices, volume discount tiers, and customer-specific price books from Brightpearl.
Sales Order & Invoice Post
Post accepted quotes directly as sales orders or accounts receivable invoices into Brightpearl GL accounts.
Net Terms & Credit Limit Check
Validate buyer credit balances and payment terms in Brightpearl before enabling Net-30 quote checkout.
Tax Code & AR Ledger Mapping
Align tax jurisdiction codes and line-item revenue accounts across Brightpearl and TackQuote.
Capabilities
What's included in the Brightpearl connector
Built out-of-the-box for enterprise sales teams, distributors, and manufacturers.
Product & Variant Sync
TackQuote pulls Brightpearl products into the quote builder on a scheduled cadence, including variant options such as colour and size, product custom fields, and lifecycle status so archived products stay out of quotes. Prices are set in TackQuote — Brightpearl price lists are not pulled.
Sales Order Creation
Accepted quotes create Brightpearl sales orders with products, quantities, contact, and terms mapped across. Order creation is not automatic on acceptance: it runs when an active Order Sync Rule targets this connection, or when the buyer checks out against it after you switch on Integrations → Use for checkout.
Contact Matching
TackQuote matches each buyer to an existing Brightpearl contact on their primary email. Brightpearl requires an existing customer on a sales order and will not create one from an order, so a buyer with no matching contact is reported by name rather than quietly filed against the wrong customer — create the contact in Brightpearl first.
Inventory Awareness
Warehouse stock pulls into TackQuote so reps quote against real availability.
Setup Guide
4 steps to connect Brightpearl
TackQuote connects to Brightpearl via its REST API using account and app credentials. Products and stock refresh every two hours; sales orders are pushed only when an accepted quote matches an active Order Sync Rule.
Create Brightpearl app credentials
In Brightpearl, register a private app / staff app and obtain the account code and API token with product, contact, and order access.
Connect in TackQuote
Enter your account code and API token in TackQuote Integrations → Brightpearl. TackQuote verifies access and begins the product sync.
Set your sales order tax code
Brightpearl requires a tax code on every sales order row, and the codes belong to your account, so TackQuote will not guess one. Find yours in Brightpearl under Settings → Company → Tax codes (for example T20 for 20% VAT, or T0 for zero-rated) and enter it on the connection. Product, stock and order sync all run without it; only quote → sales order waits for it.
Go live
Build quotes from live Brightpearl products. Accepted quotes create sales orders and matched contacts once an active Order Sync Rule targets this connection — connecting alone does not enable it.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions about Brightpearl
Does TackQuote replace Brightpearl order management?
No. Brightpearl remains your operations system of record. TackQuote adds the quoting and buyer-portal experience and writes accepted quotes back as Brightpearl sales orders.
What do I need to connect TackQuote to Brightpearl?
Private/staff app credentials (account code and API token) with product, contact, and order access, plus the tax code your sales orders are raised under. TackQuote Starter plan or above is required.
Why does TackQuote ask for a sales order tax code?
Brightpearl treats the tax code as a required property of every sales order row, and the codes are specific to your account — T20 in one Brightpearl account is not necessarily T20 in another. There is no value TackQuote could default to that would be right, so quote → sales order pauses and names the setting rather than posting a row Brightpearl is certain to reject. Product, price and stock sync and order import are unaffected and keep running.
How current is the inventory data used in quotes?
Products, price lists, and warehouse stock refresh on a two-hour scheduled pull plus an on-demand refresh, while sales orders push to Brightpearl only when an accepted quote matches an active Order Sync Rule.
