Integration Overview

How TackQuote connects with NetSuite

Eliminate manual data entry, prevent shipping or pricing errors, and streamline B2B order execution.

TackQuote connects to Oracle NetSuite through its REST/SuiteTalk APIs so your quotes are built from live item records and accepted quotes flow back as NetSuite sales orders. TackQuote treats NetSuite items as quotable products and the NetSuite sales order as the resulting order. Sync is pull-based: item, price, and inventory data refresh on a two-hour scheduled cadence plus an on-demand pull, while sales orders and customer records are pushed when an accepted quote matches an active Order Sync Rule.

Bi-Directional Sync

Data objects synchronized between systems

Here is exactly how data flows between TackQuote and NetSuite to maintain complete system alignment.

Master Price Book Sync

Sync contract pricing matrices, volume discount tiers, and customer-specific price books from NetSuite.

Sales Order & Invoice Post

Post accepted quotes directly as sales orders or accounts receivable invoices into NetSuite GL accounts.

Net Terms & Credit Limit Check

Validate buyer credit balances and payment terms in NetSuite before enabling Net-30 quote checkout.

Tax Code & AR Ledger Mapping

Align tax jurisdiction codes and line-item revenue accounts across NetSuite and TackQuote.

Capabilities

What's included in the NetSuite connector

Built out-of-the-box for enterprise sales teams, distributors, and manufacturers.

Item & Price Sync

TackQuote pulls NetSuite items — internal id, SKU, display name and base price — into the quote builder on a scheduled cadence so quotes reflect current data.

Sales Order Creation

Accepted quotes create NetSuite sales orders with the customer, the matched items and their quantities and rates. Each order is keyed on the TackQuote quote number, so a retried sync updates the same order instead of filing a second one. Order creation is not automatic on acceptance: it runs when an active Order Sync Rule targets this connection, or when the buyer checks out against it after you switch on Integrations → Use for checkout.

Existing Customers Honoured

TackQuote buyer profiles match to NetSuite customers, creating new customer records when no match is found.

Inventory Awareness

NetSuite inventory balances pull into TackQuote on the same scheduled cadence so reps can quote against available stock. Quantities are stored per item; per-location breakdowns are not surfaced in the quote builder.

Setup Guide

4 steps to connect NetSuite

TackQuote connects to NetSuite via token-based authentication (TBA) against the REST/SuiteTalk API. Items and inventory refresh every two hours; sales orders are pushed only when an accepted quote matches an active Order Sync Rule.

1

Create integration & access tokens in NetSuite

In NetSuite, enable token-based authentication, create an integration record, and issue an access token and secret with the REST record permissions TackQuote needs.

2

Connect in TackQuote

Enter your Account ID, consumer key/secret and token ID/secret in TackQuote Connections → Oracle NetSuite. Enter the Account ID exactly as NetSuite shows it under Setup → Company → Company Information — sandbox IDs contain an underscore (1234567_SB1) and TackQuote converts that to the hyphenated host form NetSuite requires. Saving runs a live signed SuiteQL probe, so a wrong ID or a revoked token fails immediately instead of appearing connected.

3

Check your SKUs match

TackQuote matches quote lines to NetSuite items by SKU (the NetSuite “Item Name/Number”, itemid). A quote line with no SKU, or a SKU with no matching NetSuite item, is refused by name rather than being sent under a substitute item.

4

Go live

Build quotes from synced NetSuite items. Accepted quotes create NetSuite sales orders and matched customer records once an active Order Sync Rule targets this connection — connecting alone does not enable it.

Requirements

What you need to get started

Prerequisites for authenticating NetSuite with your TackQuote tenant.

  • Oracle NetSuite with SuiteTalk / REST web services enabled
  • Token-based authentication (TBA) configured with integration and access tokens
  • A NetSuite role with the SuiteAnalytics Workbook permission (SuiteQL), plus item, customer and sales order permissions
  • Your NetSuite Account ID as displayed in Setup → Company → Company Information (sandbox IDs include an underscore, e.g. 1234567_SB1)
  • OneWorld accounts: the internal ID of the subsidiary to file transactions against (Setup → Company → Subsidiaries), and the location internal ID if your account makes Location mandatory
  • TackQuote Pro plan or above (NetSuite is an enterprise integration)

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about NetSuite

Is the NetSuite sync real-time?

Item, price, and inventory data refresh on a two-hour scheduled pull plus an on-demand refresh from the quote builder. Sales order and customer writes happen when an accepted quote matches an active Order Sync Rule — acceptance on its own writes nothing.

Does TackQuote create sales orders or estimates in NetSuite?

TackQuote creates NetSuite sales orders. Estimates are not created, and the record type is not currently configurable. TackQuote does not set the transaction form, terms, location or subsidiary — your NetSuite defaults for the role and customer apply.

What happens if I sync the same quote twice?

Nothing is duplicated. TackQuote writes each sales order against the external ID TACK-<quote number> using NetSuite’s upsert-by-external-ID, so a retried or repeated sync updates the same order rather than creating a second one.

My sandbox account will not connect.

Enter the Account ID exactly as NetSuite displays it, including the underscore — for example 1234567_SB1. TackQuote converts it to the hyphenated, lower-case form NetSuite requires in the API hostname. If the probe returns 403, the role is missing the SuiteAnalytics Workbook permission that SuiteQL requires.
