Integration Overview

How TackQuote connects with Epicor

Eliminate manual data entry, prevent shipping or pricing errors, and streamline B2B order execution.

TackQuote integrates with Epicor Kinetic (ERP 10/11) through its REST API so quotes are built from live part records and accepted quotes are written back as Epicor sales orders. TackQuote maps Epicor parts to quotable products and Epicor customers to buyer records. Part, price, and inventory data refresh on a two-hour scheduled pull plus an on-demand refresh. Order writes are gated on an active Order Sync Rule targeting this connection — connecting alone does not enable them, and they are not automatic on acceptance.

Bi-Directional Sync

Data objects synchronized between systems

Here is exactly how data flows between TackQuote and Epicor to maintain complete system alignment.

Master Price Book Sync

Sync contract pricing matrices, volume discount tiers, and customer-specific price books from Epicor.

Sales Order & Invoice Post

Post accepted quotes directly as sales orders or accounts receivable invoices into Epicor GL accounts.

Net Terms & Credit Limit Check

Validate buyer credit balances and payment terms in Epicor before enabling Net-30 quote checkout.

Tax Code & AR Ledger Mapping

Align tax jurisdiction codes and line-item revenue accounts across Epicor and TackQuote.

Capabilities

What's included in the Epicor connector

Built out-of-the-box for enterprise sales teams, distributors, and manufacturers.

Part & Price Sync

TackQuote pulls Epicor parts, price lists, and units into the quote builder on a scheduled cadence.

Sales Order Creation

Accepted quotes create Epicor sales orders with parts, quantities, customer, and terms mapped across. Order creation is not automatic on acceptance: it runs when an active Order Sync Rule targets this connection, or when the buyer checks out against it after you switch on Integrations → Use for checkout.

Buyer → Customer Mapping

Orders are filed against the Epicor customer mapped to the buyer, or the default customer id you configure. TackQuote does not search your Epicor customer master and does not create customer records.

On-Hand Inventory

On-hand quantities by plant/warehouse pull into TackQuote for accurate availability.

Setup Guide

4 steps to connect Epicor

TackQuote connects to Epicor Kinetic via the REST API using an API key and service account. Parts and inventory refresh every two hours; sales orders are pushed only when an accepted quote matches an active Order Sync Rule.

1

Create an API key & service account

In Epicor, generate a REST API key and configure a service account with part, customer, and order entry permissions.

2

Connect in TackQuote

Enter your Epicor app server URL, API key, and — required — the Epicor company id the integration works in. The company scopes every read and write, so TackQuote will not guess one — and do not enter EPIC06, which is Epicor’s own demo company and was previously a silent fallback that addressed the wrong company. Add your service account as user:password if your deployment requires an API key plus a user.

3

Map parts and order defaults

Confirm price list and plant mapping and set the order defaults used when quotes are accepted.

4

Go live

Build quotes from live Epicor parts. Accepted quotes create sales orders and matched customers once an active Order Sync Rule targets this connection — connecting alone does not enable it.
