Infor Integration

The B2B quoting layer for Infor CloudSuite.

Item sync from Infor CloudSuite M3 once your item-list API is named. Sales-order push requires an M3 order type (ORTP) and is unproven against a live instance.

Integration Overview

How TackQuote connects with Infor

Eliminate manual data entry, prevent shipping or pricing errors, and streamline B2B order execution.

TackQuote connects to Infor CloudSuite M3 through the Infor ION API gateway, calling M3 API programs under the m3api-rest path. Item sync needs one piece of information only your M3 installation can supply: the name of the transaction that lists item master records. M3’s item master interface is MMS200MI, but the transactions Infor publishes on it read one item at a time, and installations differ in how they expose a bulk list — so you name the transaction from your own M3 API repository during setup and TackQuote uses it verbatim. Until it is set, item sync is switched off and says so rather than returning an empty catalog. Order push uses M3’s OIS100MI interface and fails closed until you set the order type (ORTP); TackQuote will not guess A30 or invent an order number. Infor LN is not supported. Validate order push against your instance before go-live. Order writes are gated on an active Order Sync Rule targeting this connection — connecting alone does not enable them.

Bi-Directional Sync

Data objects synchronized between systems

Here is exactly how data flows between TackQuote and Infor to maintain complete system alignment.

Master Price Book Sync

Sync contract pricing matrices, volume discount tiers, and customer-specific price books from Infor.

Sales Order & Invoice Post

Post accepted quotes directly as sales orders or accounts receivable invoices into Infor GL accounts.

Net Terms & Credit Limit Check

Validate buyer credit balances and payment terms in Infor before enabling Net-30 quote checkout.

Tax Code & AR Ledger Mapping

Align tax jurisdiction codes and line-item revenue accounts across Infor and TackQuote.

Capabilities

What's included in the Infor connector

Built out-of-the-box for enterprise sales teams, distributors, and manufacturers.

Item Sync (setup required)

TackQuote pulls M3 item master records into the quote builder on a scheduled cadence, using the item-list API transaction you name from your own M3 API repository. It refuses to run — telling you exactly what is missing — rather than guessing a transaction name.

Order Push (unproven)

Accepted quotes can be pushed to M3’s OIS100MI order interface with items, quantities and the customer number from the quote. You must set the M3 order type (ORTP) — TackQuote will not guess A30. The nested-lines request shape is still unproven against a live instance; a missing order number is reported as failure, never as a fabricated id. Order creation is not automatic on acceptance: it runs when an active Order Sync Rule targets this connection, or when the buyer checks out against it after you switch on Integrations → Use for checkout.

ION API OAuth

Authentication uses the ION API gateway’s OAuth2 client-credentials grant with the token URL from your .ionapi credentials file, so no M3 user password is stored in TackQuote.

Order Pull

Recent M3 sales order headers can be imported into TackQuote for reference alongside quotes.

Setup Guide

4 steps to connect Infor

TackQuote connects to Infor CloudSuite M3 through the Infor ION API using an OAuth service account. Items refresh every two hours once you name the list transaction; order push stays off until ORTP is set.

1

Provision ION API access

In Infor OS, create an authorized app and download the credentials (.ionapi) for a service account with the required data access.

2

Connect in TackQuote

Enter your ION API URL, client id and secret in TackQuote Integrations → Infor, plus the OAuth token URL from your .ionapi credentials file. The token endpoint sits on your ION authorization host rather than the API host, so it has to be supplied — it cannot be derived from the API URL.

3

Name your M3 item-list transaction

In M3, open the API repository: MRS001 lists API programs, MRS002 lists the transactions on the program you select. Choose MMS200MI (the item master interface) and find the transaction that lists item master records. Enter its name in TackQuote as “M3 item list transaction”, along with your company number (CONO) if the service account has no default. Until this is set, item sync stays off — TackQuote will not guess a transaction name.

4

Validate against your instance, then go live

Run an item sync and confirm the item numbers, descriptions and prices that come back. M3 exposes item prices through a separate price call in some installations, so check whether prices arrive on your list transaction before quoting from them. Order push stays off until you set the M3 order type (ORTP). The AddBatchHead/nested-lines request is still unproven — treat the first push as a test, not an automatic go-live.

Requirements

What you need to get started

Prerequisites for authenticating Infor with your TackQuote tenant.

  • Infor CloudSuite M3 with ION API access
  • Authorized ION API application and service account
  • The OAuth token URL from your .ionapi credentials file
  • Data access to the item master and order objects
  • The name of the M3 transaction that lists item master records, from your own API repository (MRS001 → MRS002) — item sync cannot run without it
  • M3 order type (ORTP) — sales-order push cannot run without it
  • TackQuote Pro plan or above

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about Infor

Which Infor products does this cover?

The connector targets Infor CloudSuite M3 through the ION API gateway, calling M3 API programs under the m3api-rest path. Infor LN is not supported by this connector — LN exposes its data through BODs and ION datalake queries, which TackQuote does not implement here.

Why do I have to supply an item-list transaction name?

M3’s item master interface is MMS200MI, and Infor documents transactions on it such as GetItemBasic, Get and GetPrice — but those read one item at a time, keyed on the item number. Infor does not publish a bulk item-list transaction on MMS200MI, and the bulk-extract routes it does document (MDBREADMI over MITMAS, or a custom list API published through CMS010/CMS015 as a CMS100MI transaction) are named by each installation. Rather than guess a name that would silently return nothing, TackQuote asks you for the one your instance actually publishes.

Does TackQuote sync customers or inventory from Infor?

No. This connector reads the item master and reads and writes sales orders. It does not create or update M3 customer records, and it does not pull warehouse balances. Buyers are matched by the customer number carried on the quote.

How current is the item data used in quotes?

Once the item-list transaction is configured, items refresh on a two-hour scheduled pull plus an on-demand refresh. Sales-order push requires ORTP and is unproven against a live M3 instance — it will not invent an order number if M3 does not return one.
