Integration Overview
How TackQuote connects with ERPNext
Eliminate manual data entry, prevent shipping or pricing errors, and streamline B2B order execution.
TackQuote connects to your ERPNext or Frappe site over its REST API so quotes are built from live Item records and accepted quotes become ERPNext sales orders. ERPNext splits the catalog across three DocTypes — Item, Item Price and Bin — so TackQuote reads all three, filtering prices to your selling price list so cost prices never reach a buyer. Crucially, accepted quotes are SUBMITTED rather than left as drafts: a draft sales order reserves no stock and appears in no report, so an order that was only created would be invisible to everyone in ERPNext. Order writes are gated on an active Order Sync Rule targeting this connection — connecting alone does not enable them.
Bi-Directional Sync
Data objects synchronized between systems
Here is exactly how data flows between TackQuote and ERPNext to maintain complete system alignment.
Master Price Book Sync
Sync contract pricing matrices, volume discount tiers, and customer-specific price books from ERPNext.
Sales Order & Invoice Post
Post accepted quotes directly as sales orders or accounts receivable invoices into ERPNext GL accounts.
Net Terms & Credit Limit Check
Validate buyer credit balances and payment terms in ERPNext before enabling Net-30 quote checkout.
Tax Code & AR Ledger Mapping
Align tax jurisdiction codes and line-item revenue accounts across ERPNext and TackQuote.
Capabilities
What's included in the ERPNext connector
Built out-of-the-box for enterprise sales teams, distributors, and manufacturers.
Item, Price & Stock Sync
TackQuote reads Item records, Item Price rows from your selling price list, and Bin quantities aggregated across warehouses.
Submitted Sales Orders
Accepted quotes create and submit the sales order, so it reserves stock and appears in reporting rather than sitting as an invisible draft. Order creation is not automatic on acceptance: it runs when an active Order Sync Rule targets this connection, or when the buyer checks out against it after you switch on Integrations → Use for checkout.
Signed Webhooks
Inbound ERPNext webhooks are verified with HMAC-SHA256 against your webhook secret, and unsigned deliveries are rejected rather than trusted.
Scoped API Credentials
ERPNext keys inherit their user’s permissions, so the integration can run as a user with access to exactly the DocTypes it needs.
Setup Guide
4 steps to connect ERPNext
TackQuote connects to your ERPNext site with an API key and secret. Items refresh on a schedule; accepted quotes create submitted sales orders once an Order Sync Rule targets this connection.
Create an integration user
In ERPNext, create a user with read access to Item, Item Price, Bin and Customer, and create plus submit on Sales Order. This is preferable to using Administrator.
Generate API keys
On that user’s record, generate the API key and secret. The secret is shown only once.
Connect in TackQuote
Enter your site URL, the key and secret, your company name and your selling price list in TackQuote Integrations → ERPNext.
Go live
Quote from live ERPNext items. Accepted quotes create submitted sales orders against the matched customer. This runs once an active Order Sync Rule targets this connection; connecting alone does not enable it.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions about ERPNext
Does TackQuote leave sales orders as drafts?
No. A POST to ERPNext creates a draft, which reserves no stock and does not appear in normal reporting — so an order left in that state is effectively invisible while looking successful from the outside. TackQuote submits the order. If the submit fails, the error names the order id so the draft can be found rather than lost.
Will buying prices ever show up as sell prices?
No. ERPNext’s Item Price DocType holds both buying and selling rows, so TackQuote filters to selling rows on your configured price list. Without that filter the two would interleave and cost prices could reach buyers, which is why the price list is part of setup rather than optional.
Does TackQuote work with self-hosted ERPNext?
Yes. You supply your own site URL, so self-hosted, Frappe Cloud and private deployments all work provided the site is reachable from TackQuote over HTTPS.
